Wax Carving & Stone Setting – Advanced Jewellery Course
This wax carving and stone setting with various cuts gemstones an advanced workshop is designed for intermediate jewellery makers looking to expand their skills in wax carving and stone setting with a variety of gemstone shapes and cuts. It’s ideal for those who already have experience with brilliant-cut (round) gemstone settings and are ready to explore more complex forms and techniques.
Building on your existing knowledge of wax carving, this course dives into designing and carving settings for different gem cuts, using professional machinery, hammer-heads, tools such as ball burs, drill bits, and custom wax tools. You’ll experiment with alternative stone orientations, design styles, and wax types. Once your piece is cast in the metal of your choice, you’ll be guided through the final steps: securely setting your gemstones and polishing your finished piece to a professional standard.
In a fully equipped jewellery studio in London, this course is limited to 4 students per session, allowing for detailed, semi-private guidance from Stelios in a quiet, focused environment.
If you're just starting your jewellery-making journey or haven’t worked with stone setting before, we recommend beginning with our Wax Carving Class for Beginners.
Materials are included to price.
Prices for castings are not included.
